As part of the Free LitterAT project, a webinar on the subject of ‘Tackiling plastic pollution in the Atlantic Area: Moving forward in the implementation of the EPR for fishing gear’ will be held on Thursday 13 November.
Since 1 January 2025, EU fishing gear producers must comply with the extended producer responsibility obligations introduced by the Single-Use Plastics (SUP) Directive.
The aim of this webinar is to provide an update on the concrete progress and main challenges in implementing Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) for fishing gear in the project countries (Spain, France, Ireland, Portugal).
The webinar will be available in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese, with simultaneous interpretation provided.

Target audience
This event is addressed to fishing gear manufacturers, recyclers, port managers, public authorities, fishermen’s organisations and anyone involved in marine litter issues.
